Twin sisters, Hannah and Grace, grew up in the Northeast of England and have been playing the piano and singing for as long as they can remember. During the Covid pandemic, they received a keyboard and some production software, Hannah taught herself LogicPro and the girls started working together to lay down some of the songs that Grace had been writing since she was very young.
Taking a week out of school to do an Arts Council supported course in Sunderland, where they met some industry figures, gave them the encouragement to believe in themselves and their music.
In 2022, they spotted a couple of songwriting competitions and entered for fun. The first, Song Academy Young Songwriters Competition (SAYS22) saw them come in the Top 10 out of around 1800 entries. This inspired them to enter their song 'Sweet 16' into the Liverpool International Songwriting Competition (Road to Nashville) where they came an astounding 2nd place out of over 22,000 entries and got to perform on the iconic Exit/In stage in Nashville.
Less than a week after completing their A levels and leaving school, the girls supported Tors at The Cluny in Newcastle. The guys were welcoming and supportive and as they performed on the stage, the girls knew that this was what they wanted to do
